Ma-Naya J
Ma-Naya J (also known as MJ) is a Christ-centered fashion and beauty entrepreneur, wellness coach, and salon owner. After gaining years of professional experience in the beauty, wellness and fashion industry as a licensed master cosmetologist, nail technician, and retail operations manager, Ma-Naya J transitioned into the role of entrepreneur and salon owner in 2017. She founded her fashion design company, MJ Tailor Made, and her beauty and wellness salon, MJ Wellness Spa (www.mjwellnessspa.com) with a heart to help people restore their outer (and, inner) beauty. In November 2023, Ma-Naya J launched Restoring Her Ministries (www.restoringher.life), a multimedia wellness coaching platform and online community for faith-based professionals. Its official podcast, Restoring Her, Restoring Her is a wellness podcast for faith-based professionals that was inspired by the conversations Ma-Naya has with Clients in her salon about the ways that people work to restore the beauty they possess externally through their wellness practices and internally through the truth of God’s Word.
Ma-Naya J is a beauty professional with over ten years of salon experience, Ma-Naya J Is a standout service provider in the Atlanta Metropolitan area due to her dedication to professionalism, focus on healthy nail care and skin care, and her overall emphasis on proper safety and sanitation. It is this commitment to care that has made her an invaluable resource for Clients of all backgrounds especially those seeking preventative hand and foot care in a relaxing and intimate setting.
Ma-Naya J has worked for small businesses, large corporations, and educational institutions while gaining experience in design, retail operations, visual merchandising, event production, and teaching. She continues to showcase her passion for classic designs and quality construction and tailoring through her company, MJ Tailor Made. Her professional background as an Operations Manager for the national retailer Men’s Warehouse provided her with direct customer service and leadership experience that has informed how she approaches her current work as a fashion and beauty entrepreneur, wellness coach, and salon owner.
Ma-Naya J is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of Client care through excellent customer service and continued education. Her commitment to enhancing her crafts through continued education is reflected by her own educational background. Ma-Naya earned her BFA in Fashion Design from The Art Institute of Atlanta-Decatur where she was a Merit Scholar and has additionally worked as a sought-after Teacher’s Assistant. She was cosmetically-trained at the Trenholm State Technical College in Montgomery, Alabama and at the Elaine Sterling Institute for Nails in Atlanta, Georgia. She has additionally taken a professional certification course in Foot, Hand, and Ear Reflexology at the Academy of Radiant Health and is currently enrolled in the MediNail Learning Center’s Advanced Nail Technologist and Medical Nail Technician Program. As a service-minded professional, Ma-Naya J welcomes new opportunities to educate and coach faith-based professionals on how to restore the beauty within the mind, body, and spirit through self-care.
